Zante or Zakynthos is the third largest Ionian island being about 158 square miles
in area. The island gets its name from Zakynthos, the son of an Arcadian chief named
Dardanus.
The island has varied coastline and stunning scenery, from rolling hills
to charming olive and citrus groves. The beaches vary from long and sandy to rugged,
rocky and shingle beaches.
